Breaking Your Lease

Dear Resident,

Thank you for contacting us regarding moving prior to the expiration of your lease term.

Under Paragraph 28 of your lease agreement, early termination is not automatically granted. You may submit a request under Paragraph 28B (Assignment, Subletting, and Replacement Tenants); however, all early termination requests are subject to Landlord review and written approval.

Submission of a request does not constitute approval or release from your lease obligations.

How the Process Works

If you submit a request under Paragraph 28B:

Unless expressly released in writing by the Landlord, you remain fully responsible for all obligations under the lease.

Required Fees

If the Landlord approves a replacement tenant to occupy the property, you must pay:

100% of one month’s rent
(as stated in Paragraph 28B(4)).

Procedure to Request Early Termination

If you wish to proceed, the following steps are required:

Complete and submit the Early Termination Request Form for Landlord review and approval. Click here to download.

We will contact you once the Landlord has reviewed and approved your request. Please note that submission of the form does not constitute approval or release from your lease obligations.

Marketing of the property will not begin until the home until all parties have agreed and the one month's rent has been paid.
